Hi there!
My name is Filip Lundberg and I am one of this year’s trainees here at Aros Electronics. I recently finished my engineering degree at Chalmers University of technology, with an MSc in systems, control and mechatronics. I also did my thesis here at Aros this spring within iterative learning control (ILC).
The goal with this blog will be to, together with my trainee colleague, keep you updated on our year as trainees here at Aros electronics. I hope you will stick with us on our journey.
We recently went to visit our sister company IRO in Ulricehamn. There, among other things, they develop and produce yarn feeders for looms. They are market leaders within this field, which is quite cool. We also had a look at the Zero Twist Feeder, a feeder that is special made to not twist the “yarn” which is especially important when weaving with e.g. carbon fiber.

During this busy week, we also went to our parent company Vandewiele in Kortrijk, Belgium. There we had an introduction to the whole company group and got to take a look at the production of the looms. We had some good discussions about ILC, where they have made some substantial progress.
After the day’s events our hosts at Vandewiele gave us a small tour around town and took us out for some nice Belgian food and beer.
Our trainee projects this year will be in cooperation with VdW, so we will for sure have good reason to come back soon!

Cheers!
